Simplify KYC/AML Compliance with Investment Manager
Gathering all necessary investor information is a critical first step to ensure a seamless, efficient and compliant onboarding process. To support general partners’ (GPs) in adhering to compliance requirements, Yardi Investment Manager expands functionality to capture, manage and store all the required investor data within the same platform.
These updates introduce expanded functionalities, including the Contact Profile Info milestone within the subscription agreement workflow, as well as added features for the Enter Subscription Information milestone. Together, they enable GPs to collect and process all the investor details required to meet Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance responsibilities while ensuring data governance across the entire investment lifecycle.
How Does It Work?
The updates in Investment Manager expand the number of data fields for investor profile completion and provide custom options to tailor data collection to specific needs. Through flexible questionnaire-style sections, GPs can capture as many data points as needed for compliance purposes, while new investors can complete the entire onboarding process through the Investor Portal.
Once submitted, the data is securely stored in the Investment Manager database, with any updates automatically reflected across the system, eliminating the need for data transfers from other systems. This centralized storage ensures information is easily accessible, allowing GPs to export it for KYC/AML checks and review all relevant investor details.
How Do These Enhancements Help?
KYC/AML compliance is a complex and evolving challenge for general partners, but the right tools can simplify the process significantly. The latest updates to Investment Manager empower GPs to optimize the KYC/AML screening process by:
- Eliminating the need for third-party tools for collecting and securely storing investor identification and financial data, reducing the risk of errors
- Enhancing KYC/AML checks and compliance reporting by consolidating all relevant data into a single source of truth
- Simplifying compliance with FinCen requirements by facilitating annual audits and recertification
- Providing the flexibility to accommodate future updates to industry requirements, enabling GPs to stay aligned with evolving standards
- Enabling rapid access to comprehensive records with all investor data, communications, documents and transaction history
- Fast-tracking investor onboarding by pre-populating subscription agreement documents with the collected data
- Providing secure, integrated workflows while adhering to the highest standards for data security and protection
